Derrick Brown

Derrick Brown is the Director of Talent Acquisition at Sellen Construction, one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading commercial builders.  Derrick relocated to Seattle in the spring of 2019 from Manhattan with his finacè Steven and puppy Harlem. Before Sellen Derrick leads the diversity executive recruiting effort at T-Mobile and was a VP at JP Morgan Chase managing the executive recruiting portfolio for the Retail & Consumer Bank Division. Derrick has long been an advocate for social justice and human rights and has been fortunate to have worked at the Clinton Foundation directing their recruiting efforts and at Deutsche Bank, where he developed strategies to attract top talent and defined Deutsche Bank’s diversity, LGBT, military, and disability recruitment strategies. Derrick is on the board of directors of OutRight Action International, a leading international LGBTIQ human rights organization dedicated to improving the lives of people who experience discrimination or abuse on the basis of their actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or expression. Derrick holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Boston University.  His hobbies are drone flying, travel, and hiking (anything outdoors really).
