I have a direct impact on the talent acquisition process and play a significant role in creating the future of Virginia Tech.I source highly qualified and diverse candidates for professional and managerial positions. Duties include consulting with hiring officials to understand business requirements; developing recruiting plans to attract top talent; drafting and posting job requisitions on the applicant tracking system; reaching passive and active candidates; attending meet-ups, job fairs, career fairs, conferences, and other networking events; selling the benefits of working at Virginia Tech and living in the community; and coordinating all aspects of the search and hiring process with the hiring official.
