Jessica Nagle

I grew up in beautiful South Lake Tahoe and moved to the Bay Area in 1999, never realizing that by moving to the Bay Area, I was going to have an opportunity to such an amazing career. My career in recruiting started in 1999 when I had a unique opportunity to join a small San Francisco based startup called Digital Island. My manager in that role is still today my most valuable mentor. Starting as a Staffing Coordinator, I was inspired to go into Recruiting because of the exceptional Recruiters I was working with.

My manager gave me some lower level positions to fill and gave me the room to do it anyway I chose. I have remained incredibly grateful for her mentorship throughout the past 20+ years. Due to the strong foundation that she instilled in me I have held rewarding jobs at HP, Intel, Financial Services organizations as well as CGI.

I am a people person and love recruiting as it affords me an ability to meet so many dynamic professionals. My job at HashiCorp came around due to that first Manager at Digital Island. She is the Sr. Director for HashiCorp's Talent Development organization and referred me to this role where I started as a Recruiter, rose to Sr. Recruiter and am on track for a Talent Advisor role. I also had the opportunity to be involved in the creation of the very first ERG here, Women of HashiCorp.

HashiCorp has been and continues to be one of my favorite jobs throughout my entire career. I've been blessed to watch this company grow from its first 300 employees to over 2000 globally. I also have had the ability to be a mentor myself to some of our Recruiting Coordinators as well as Junior Recruiters. I will continue to pay it forward with the hopes that my mentees continue the trend.
