Olivia Ruiz

Olivia Ruiz has been a talent acquisition professional since 2004 gaining experience both in agency and corporate recruiting  After five years working with a multitude of clients in high finance and banking, she left to join a start up in the biofuels space. Unfortunately the timing was not good with the capital markets frozen in 2009. Luckily her client Silicon Valley Bank, asked her to join the in-house recruiting team. She spent almost seven years focused on banking, finance and corporate recruitment.  Her desire to join a tech company finally came to fruition with Zillow Group.  Here she learned all things tech with a focus on early talent and diversity and inclusion.   Most recently with Shipt, (parent company Target),  she joined as their first senior technical recruiter. She elevated the talent acquisition team with recruiting best practices and successfully hired data scientists and software engineers. However since GoDaddy has been on the top of her list of companies to work for she couldn't pass up the opportunity to work with her former colleague Heather McAndrew. She enjoys speaking on panels, attending webinars and networking at recruiting events. Favorite hobbies include travel to exotic places, riding her Pelaton bike, cooking for friends and family and listening to podcasts and TED talks
