Allstate Reported to be Laying off Thousands

Martin Burns

June 29, 2020

Allstate is laying off over at least 3,700 employees over the following weeks. Recruiting is listed as being high on the list of eliminated positions. An anonymous tipster on TheLayoff shared that Allstate will be replacing its 14 regional operations with 4 “Zone HQs”. Roles affected include state/territory managers, regional sales, field VPs, and recruitment. Allstate is telling employees in a series of internal calls what will be happening with their rumored layoffs:

The call our department was on yesterday with a VP from home office the information was that those who are in a job that is being eliminated will receive a notice on July 15th
If you are being evaluated against your peers to see if you get one of the reduced jobs you will be told you are keeping a job or getting a layoff notice between Aug 15th and Aug 30th

RNN has reached out to Allstate for any updates and will be following this story. We will update accordingly.
