Santa Monica, California Cornerstone On Demand, an enterprise talent management and acquisition software vendor, has begun sweeping cuts to the sales and business development teams of Saba. Saba was acquired by Cornerstone On Demand in April. The layoffs were reportedly sudden, with one person affected receiving the news while on paternity leave, and include 60% of RVPs and 80% of solution architects.
RNN reached out to Saba/ Cornerstone PR for comment. Deaira Irons, senior PR manager at Cornerstone responded:
"I would like to reinforce that we have strived to be very transparent with our employees. As with any acquisition, we had to look for synergies that made sense for our business. We communicated very early on with our employees that this could happen, and that any departure decisions would not impact employees before June, which is still the case. While there is never a good time to have these conversations, our approach has always prioritized transparency with our people. For anyone leaving due to reduction in force, we are offering thoughtful severance, equity, healthcare and job support through the transition."
