CVS Health, an organization which has proven pivotal in the ongoing Crisis, has announced plans to hire up to 50,000 employees, a mix of full, part-time, and temporary. In their press release, they say:
CVS Health is also embarking on the most ambitious hiring drive in the company's history, with plans to immediately fill 50,000 full-time, part-time and temporary roles across the country. Roles include store associates, home delivery drivers, distribution center employees and member/customer service professionals. The company will utilize a technology-enabled hiring process that includes virtual job fairs, virtual interviews and virtual job tryouts. Many roles will be filled by existing CVS Health clients who have had to furlough workers, including Hilton and Marriott.

As we detailed last week, virtual job fairs, video interviewing, online testing, etc are becoming standard tools in every hiring organizations toolset. This sort of acceleration is, of course, challenging in the best of times. There are ongoing concerns around bandwidth strain, and pressure on tool vendors capacity (Zoom was downloaded 2.5 million times last week). It will be important to watch the infrastructure.
There are a number or tools available to TA professionals. It often comes down to scaling, and how well your team is ready to roll. As the video-interviewing platform HireVue told us:
