In the face of the continued Russian assault on Ukraine, the international sourcing community is stepping up to help. Victor Soroka, Ukrainian co-founder of SELECT, Kyiv-based recruitment company, put out a call for help, and it was answered. His friend and industry colleague Guillaume Alexandre, a Geneva-based Senior Talent Sourcing Specialist with Gates Solutions, has set up a community focused on project-based assistance for Ukraine.
As Guillaume put it: "For a sourcer, it was a no brainer, I know Victor for many years through sourcing summit and other conferences. He stayed in Ukraine to help with his skills, his team. He asked for help and I thought that instead of me helping, we could quickly gather many sourcers to help. 12 hours after we spoke, we had setup an email, a discord, spread the word, gathered the requirements and got 100 subscribers and 50+ sourcers giving their time to help."
"The hero on the field in Victor, helping him and his team with the resources we have is the least we can do."
The group is setting up a discord server where the sourcing community can gather. If you have talent sourcing experience and want to join, they ask for some basic information and will then send you a link for a Discord server. The first "task" took place March 3rd at noon CET at noon.

There will be a shared Google doc with the participants at the start of the event, an explanation of the request, and identification of companies, contacts for people, contact details, etc. Work will be divided at that point and the project will begin.
