OutMatch, a Dallas, Texas based recruitment technology provider, has acquired Checkster, a leading SaaS based reference checking technology provider. OutMatch's product, their Talent Decision Platform, brings unique talent insights derived from the combination of assessments, job simulations, and video interviews. OutMatch empowers organizations' talent decisions while delivering a candidate-driven recruiting experience. With the addition of Checkster, they bolster their ability to offer a suite of capabilities in one platform for customers, versus the customer buying a range of bolt-on solutions which do not always integrate well.
According to OutMatch CEO, Greg Moran:

The move makes sense. Customers are more interested in solutions which work together well, and provide less headaches, than connecting a series of add-ons. While many of these individual solutions are often best-in-class, difficulties getting them to integrate with other bolt-ons, not to mention ATS and/ or CRM, often dilute the value they offer.
Outmatch has made several key - and smart - acquisitions recently. This is their third in 2020 (all of which have taken place over the fall), and follows a strategic investment from Rubicon Investment Partners. In 2019, they acquired WePow, a leading video interviewing platform. WePow's founder and CEO - Imo Udom - is now Chief Product Officer at OutMatch. The WePow move proved prescient, seemingly anticipating the surge in video interviewing during 2020.
This continues OutMatch along the path of powering cloud-based, automated (dare we say AI) solutions for the new age of recruitment. Checkster's post-hire tools bridge the gap between talent selection and job performance. Linking the pre- and post-hire talent analytics within OutMatch's Talent Decision Platform will create a newfound ability to rigorously measure quality of hire, drive increased agility throughout the talent selection process, and create higher-performing teams with improved retention.
