GLOBAL: Holiday Hiring Underway:

  • ‍US: Shipt is Adding 100,000 Buyers Yup: that's a lot of helpers. "Gearing up for the holiday season crunch, on-demand delivery service Shipt plans to hire another 100,000 personal shoppers, increasing its delivery personnel base to more than 300,000." Source: Supermarket News‍
  • UK: Tesco Adding 11,000 Temporary Workers for the Festive Season These UK-wide roles, in Tesco’s Superstores and Extra stores, will include picking for online deliveries and store replenishment, supporting existing store colleagues. Source: Tesco
  • US: Dollar Tree Adding 25,000 The discount retailer — also parent to the Family Dollar chain — has announced plans to employ more than 25,000 associates at its stores and distribution centers. This year marks the company’s fifth annual nationwide hiring event, which will be hosted from Oct. 19 to Oct. 23, as it seeks to boost its workforce during an unprecedented retail shopping season.
