iCIMS just bought some video. In what will likely be a long week of m&a news (year-end, recession, entire business models collapsing and reforming, etc), this one stands out already. iCIMS has long been a strength in the ATS space, and began its serios expansion towards the front-end of the candidate experience with their acquisition of TextRecruit. That was a seriously smart move, and a great deal. Then they went with a CRM purchase, acquiring Jibe in 2019.
RNN reached out to Susan Vitale, CMO of iCIMS, for her perspective. She told us: "We love the Altru team and the tech -- there are a lot of opportunities to use it beyond career sites, though that's a prime first stop especially given the limited opportunity employers have to produce and refresh employer brand content right now given WFH. No video shoots on site means companies need alternatives & this is ideal. I think in the near future brands that don't have this will seem really dated. We also see great opportunity to use Altru across onboarding, talent mobility programs, etc. As a longer term horizon we see this as a critical component to a content layer that we could even open up to partners and third parties."
