Update: Zoom Crashed, Seems to be Coming Back - Just in Time for the School Year

Zoom, the go-to web meeting solution being relied on by, well... everyone, was down for a significant number of web-based users this morning. The payment/ login seems to be the culprit, so app users and freemium users were able to use the service. This, however, was a rolling disaster for many school districts as well as employers who rely on the paid version via the web client. Workarounds began to be discovered, and shared, by users.

Zoom has communicated via Twitter, after some radio-silence this AM.

We are deploying a fix now. Service should be restored for some users and we’re continuing to complete the fix for any users still impacted. We're sorry about the disruption. Follow https://t.co/aqz5nS7fZY for updates.

Down Detector was showing 15,383 reports at 10 am, up from 11,600 half an hour earlier.

This does not bode well.
