Dr. Rayna M. Letourneau

Dr. Rayna Letourneau, PhD, RN, has made it her work's purpose to create a highly educated, competent nursing workforce and advance the impact of nursing on the health and wellness of our nation.

Dr. Letourneau's research focuses on nursing workforce development, transition to practice, and quality and safety education for nurses. Dr. Letourneau has ten years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and the master's levels. She has taught face-to-face, blended, and fully online nursing and interprofessional courses.

Dr. Letourneau is an assistant professor at the University of South Florida College of Nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Rhode Island in 2002 and 2008, respectively. In 2017, she earned her PhD in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She's earned a certification in online teaching from the Online Learning Consortium. She is a member of the Florida Organization of Nurse Executives, the Florida Nurse’s Association, the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) Institute and is an appointee of the QSEN Academic Task Force Advisory Board.
