I am an Associate Professor at the School of Sociology and a Geary Fellow at the Geary Institute for Public Policy at University College Dublin, Ireland. Formerly I was a Senior Research Fellow in Computational Social Science at the University of Oxford, a Turing Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute for Data Science and AI, and a Research Fellow in Humanities and Social Sciences at Wolfson College. Before that, I worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. I obtained my PhD in Complex Systems Physics at the age of 25. I am interested in analysing large-scale transactional data and conducting experiments to understand human dynamics, collective intelligence, conflict and collaboration, government-society interactions, information, collective behaviour, collective memory and attention, and online dating.
