This morning, Deel ($5.5B payroll, onboarding, compliance co’ w/ customers incl. Cloudflare, Coinbase, Shopify) announced a major expansion of their platform, bringing several new hiring and salary tools to customers, all for free. The new services come as rising inflation and a cooling market have left companies looking to right-size costs and increase international hiring, with hiring and payroll often taking up vast portions of startup budgets (of note, Deel has seen a 23% increase in US workers hired by international orgs since Feb.). Deel’s tools help companies benchmark salary offers based on market, experience and industry, optimizing costs without impacting talent quality.

Brief details on the new products here:

• Roots Org Chart – The first tool to come from Deel’s acquisition of Roots. Unlike other tools, Root's Org Chart is free, accessed right from Slack, and automatically updates via HRIS systems.
• Global Hiring Toolkit – The most comprehensive set of free tools allowing clients, employees, and contractors to make more informed decisions when it comes to hiring and getting hired remotely. The set of tools includes:

• Salary Insights: Helps clients benchmark their salary offers to ensure that they are matching the positions accurately. Clients can access market rates for similar job roles and seniority levels in over 110 countries and make smarter salary decisions.
• Employee Cost Calculator: Comparison tool providing insight into hiring costs between various countries.
• Global Employment Comparison tool: The first interactive tool to compare employee data across 87 countries, including vacation days, minimum wage, onboarding days, mandatory benefits etc.
