Ninety Nine Restaurants Sees 122% Increase in Job Applications Following Career Site Transformation with HireClix

The Ninety Nine Restaurant and Pub has achieved a 122% increase in applications year-over-year and 700% greater visibility on Google and artificial intelligence (AI) agents in just two months following a strategic career site transformation in partnership with HireClix, a leading recruitment marketing services company.

As a well-known casual dining chain with over 90 locations across the Northeast and New England, Ninety Nine competes for hourly and management talent tied to specific geographic locations. Before updating their career site, the outdated design and functionality sometimes led to a poor candidate experience, increased bounce rates, and lower application volume.

With HireClix, the company was able to modernize its career site into a high-performing, conversion-focused recruitment marketing channel. The new site delivers a streamlined, mobile-first candidate experience while clearly communicating the company’s culture, growth opportunities, and employee value proposition.

“As the hospitality industry continues to navigate labor shortages, high turnover, increasingly selective candidates, and more, we knew we needed a bigger competitive edge,” said Michelle Davidson, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Ninety Nine. “Thanks to HireClix, we transformed our career site from a static job board to a dynamic marketing asset, which resulted in increased organic traffic, stronger engagement, and a rise in completed, qualified applications.”

Personalizing the candidate experience was critical to the success of Ninety Nine’s career site transformation. Leveraging HireClix’s location-based landing page services, Ninety Nine is able to highlight location-specific job opportunities, enabling store-specific recruiting efforts with QR codes, and providing a boost for search engine optimization on Google and Large Language Models (LLMs). Additionally, Ninety Nine integrated HireClix’s Second Chance pages functionality, which allows candidates to continue to engage with Ninety Nine for career opportunities, even if the original role they were interested in had been filled. In total, approximately 10% of visitors to the career page were redirected to second chance pages instead of hitting an error page, elevating the client’s ability to retain these job seekers. The candidates continued their engagement with recommended jobs rather than abandoning their search.

“In today’s labor market, where candidates are evaluating employers as thoroughly as employers evaluate candidates, career sites play an increasingly critical role in building trust and driving conversion of quality applicants,” said Neil Costa, CEO and Founder at HireClix. “HireClix’s innovative career site capabilities are helping employers turn owned channels into measurable recruiting engines. For organizations like the Ninety Nine Restaurants and Pub, that means reducing reliance on third-party job boards while strengthening long-term talent pipelines.”

This announcement comes off the back of a long line of recent career site enhancements by HireClix aimed at improving the candidate experience, including HireClix’s Second Chance Pages, HireClix’s Quick Apply feature, and HireClix’s Welcome Back functionality announced last month.

The results underscore the fact that organizations that invest in their career site are clearly seeing faster, more sustainable hiring outcomes, even amid an ever-changing job market and labor shortage challenges.
